March for the Future – 20th October 2018

Prospect are calling on their members to come out and support the People’s Vote and the Independent March For the Future this Saturday, the 20th of October. At Prospect National Conference in June 2018, delegates overwhelmingly backed a “people’s vote” on the final terms of Brexit.

This Saturday, people will be marching on Parliament to demand a final say on the terms of Brexit. Organized by the People’s Vote and the Independent’s Final Say campaign, the march sets off from Park Lane at midday.

If you are unable to come but would like to show your support, you can sign a petition:

Prospect supporting a democratic vote on the final outcome of the negotiations is part of a larger Brexit policy, which includes:

  • campaigning to ensure the interests of members are heard in Brexit negotiations, including on the Irish border issue, membership of EU agencies, and maintaining funding and collaboration in science and other areas
  • advocating staying as close as possible to the Single Market and Customs union in order to protect jobs and ensure employment and other rights are protected
  • supporting the rights of EU citizens in the UK
  • actively campaigning against a “no deal” Brexit

For London Prospect members interested in hearing more about how the civil service has been affected by Brexit they can join a public discussion on Monday 5th November at 6pm in Westminster. You can book your free tickets here:
